AT TETHER'S END with Trinity and The Wonder Club

Script by Michelle Roche and Nick Young
Directed by Nick Young and Michelle Roche
Produced by Katie Dunn
Musical direction by Sarah Joy Pearson
Designed by 145, Hot Soup and Tomasin Cuthbert & local artists

Traders hawk their wares, pickpockets try their luck, drunkards fight, the Butcher washes your hands again and the whores whistle as you pass by. This is the Old Market of Bristol, 1869. A place of vice, poverty and grim hope.

At Tether's End was a site specific show that drew on the true story of the 1869 murder of a local police man across the road from the Trinity Centre (where the show was performed). It was performed by a mixed cast of professional and non-professional performers and incorporated installation art and performance from artists based in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds and London.

"...a range of dramatic styles and modes of presentation...fresh, entertaining, unsettling and extremely accessible." - British Theatre Guide
